The Newtyle Stones

The stones looking to the north up Newtyle hill
From Dunkeld take the A984 Caputh road south east. The Tay river is to your right. About 2.5 km along this road, the stones are in a gully on your left. Parking is very difficult, I suggest driving around the left hand bend ahead and park near the entrance to Newtyle farm, walking back carefully along the road. Traffic is light but fast, and it is a narrow road so take care. The stones sit just 20m in from the road over a very low wall. I could discern no markings on them, although the northern face of the stones is heavily overgrown with moss. The view between the stones of the Tay makes it worthwhile visiting them!
